At least two homes are for sale in Arrowhead where a neighborhood country club, spacious designs and large yards have been drawing homebuyers for decades.
In all, at least 10 other Arrowhead listings already have attracted buyers and are expected to close in the next month, Realtor Martha Givens said.
In addition, 14 homes in Arrowhead have been sold in the past six months showing Arrowhead is an active market, she added. The brisk pace of sales in the larger neighborhood off Atlanta Highway continues a trend in the River Region.
A drive through Arrowhead on one of its long, straight streets will reveal a community atmosphere. Families create memories in the many backyard swimming pools, walking on sidewalks, and playing under the mature trees perfectly suited for the tree house or fort.
The designs of family homes in the neighborhood also have advantages, Givens said.
“Arrowhead has large lots and the homes are older. But most homes have been updated, giving a family larger bedrooms than some of the new construction, or other newer neighborhoods,” Givens said.
An Arrowhead address puts residents within 10 minutes of The Shoppes at EastChase, Baptist East hospital, Auburn University Montgomery and one turn from Interstate 85.
Golf, tennis, swimming, and fine dining are all available at the country club.
“Arrowhead Country Club is an excellent neighborhood feature,” Givens said. “Membership is not mandatory, but it creates a great sense of community for anyone who wants to enjoy tennis, golf, pool activities or clubhouse dining. The club is a great treasure in Montgomery!”
Most of the homes in Arrowhead were built in the 1970s and 1980s, Givens said. Arrowhead also includes a cluster of patio homes in the east section of the neighborhood.
“Arrowhead is a very quiet, stable neighborhood,” Givens said.
One updated Arrowhead home is on the market for $249,900 and includes three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms within 2,604 square feet of living space.
The home has fresh paint, new carpet, and hardwood flooring. The back of the home features decks which provide a great view of a pond. An updated eat-in kitchen, wet bar, large living room with deck, and two gas fireplaces add to the appeal of the house.
The property is located in the back of Arrowhead close to where the neighborhood connects with adjacent Towne Lake.
